Press ignition key and just ‘click’ engine doesn’t turn over, started two years ago just now and again and now I need a jumper pack to get it started.
So I had new battery fitted, no change.
Starting circuit tested including the clutch switch, all relevant fuses and relays tested.
Pyro fuse and battery supply cable tested all ok, no high resistance or short to earth.
Cable terminals to plate under bonnet checked cleaned and re-torqued.
Terminals to solenoid checked cleaned and tightened and all relevant earth connections checked cleaned and re-torqued.
Vcds is clear of faults.
Trying to avoid ripping out the engine mount and the starter motor as when jumper pack is applied the starter motor turns the engine over very very quickly.
Any clues folks, it’s driving me nuts !
